A bicyclist was hit from behind by a vehicle and killed Sunday night in Homosassa Springs.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 32-year-old Homosassa man was riding east on West Cardinal Street approaching South Short Street around 6:20 p.m., when he was struck by an eastbound 2005 Honda CRV driven by a 21-year-old Homosassa woman.
The cyclist was ejected and died at the scene.
Charges are pending, troopers said.
