A 45-year-old Homosassa motorcyclist was killed Monday night after being struck by a car from behind in Homosassa Springs.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was stopped on West Cardinal Street about to execute a left turn onto South Gross Avenue, when a 31-year-old Homosassa woman driving a Volkswagen Jetta and heading in the same direction rammed into the back of the man’s motorcycle.
The man died at the scene of the crash. The woman was not injured.
Charges are pending, according to the FHP.
