A single vehicle accident is exactly how it sounds, a traffic collision that only involves one vehicle. In general, these types of accidents involve a car and a fixed object, like a tree street sign, wall, guardrail or other obstacle. Sometimes these accidents are caused by animals on roadways. Depending on the speed and impact of the crash, a single-vehicle collision may deliver serious and lifelong injuries to the driver or passenger of the vehicle. In many instances, a single-vehicle accident can result in death to the driver and any passengers.

Injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash can lead to costly medical care and lost wages from time away from work. If a death occurs, you and your family may be left with the financial burden of paying expensive funeral costs and running the household all while dealing with the emotional aftermath that accompanies the unexpected loss of a loved one. Recovering monetary damages from the at-fault party is important so that you can rebuild and recover.
